On the surface, the name “Mocha Java” would seem to indicate a chocolate flavored coffee. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, right? Actually, Mocha Java is named for its blend. One of the first coffee blends on record, Mocha comes from the bright, floral port of Mocha in Yemen, and Java comes from the bold, earthy port of Java in Ethiopia. This centuries old blend bring beautiful balance to every cup. And don’t worry, those with a distinguished palate may pick up its chocolate undertones.

“Mocha Java is a rich cup with richer history. Maybe its a placebo effect, but I think when you appreciate the origins of the beans, the end product always seems to taste better. People always say, ‘what’s in a name’ and Metropolitan’s Mocha Java is a fine example of the complexity in that statement.
